Scholarship Description:The Conroy Scholarship is one of the many programs administered by the Maryland Higher Education Commission’s Office of Student Financial Assistance.The children and spouses of fallen soldiers and public safety employees attending a Maryland postsecondary institution can apply for the Edward T. Conroy Memorial Scholarship.                                                                                                                                                                                             The total dollar amount of all State scholarship awards may not exceed your cost of attendance, as determined by your school’s financial aid office, or $19,000, whichever is less. Awards to the sons, daughters or spouses of victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks may not exceed $19,000 when combined with any other scholarships received by a student based on the student’s status as a child or spouse of a victim of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
