Scholarship Description:KTH School of Computer Science and Communication (CSC), the Department of Speech, Music and Hearing (TMH) announces a two-year post-doctoral position in Mobile Sound Interaction. The research in the Music Acoustics group encompasses the scientific study of the human communication process primarily through sounds and music. The field includes descriptions, theories, models and technical systems covering aspects of the communication chain from production, transmission, perception, understanding and experience. The position has its focus in sound interaction on mobile platforms, with a special inclination to the needs of the hearing impaired. The work includes research and development and will be carried out in several externally financed projects.
Applicants should have obtained a doctoral degree not more than three years prior to the application deadline, in a subject relevant for the research at the department and in sound interaction in particular. Experience with issues related to hearing impairments and/or music pedagogy will be especially valuable. A post-doc is expected to contribute with expertise in the general area and to take an active role in projects in the Music acoustics group.
